Information Gathering

Before you leave for Sydney, your assigned consultant will contact you and help you fill in a fact finding form.  This will enable us to develop your home search to your requirements.  We aim to encourage a healthy and happy lifestyle for your time in Sydney and will advise you on suitable suburbs should you wish to do some personal research before you leave.
 
Settle in Sydney Welcome Pack

On your arrival at your hotel or serviced apartments, you will be provided with the Settle in Sydney Welcome Pack.  This will probably be the best gift you will receive for a while!  We have included maps and guides to different areas of Sydney.  The latest Good Food and Shopping guides. Also included are tourism books to help you plan that trip to the wine regions or national parks of NSW and the ‘All you need to know’ guide to Sydney developed by us with you in mind.  We have put together everything a person will need to know when moving from overseas to live in Sydney. Information such as getting your driving licence, Medicare card, opening a bank account, joining an Expatriate Group, etc..

Home search

Finding the right home requires careful attention to the needs and expectations of the individual and their families. The level of support received needs to be tailored to your requirements and instructions, to compliment your policies and work within your budgets.It's essential that we present only those properties most suited to the individual and to achieve this we spend time exploring their requirements to establish what will suit their needs. With a detailed brief we then search thoroughly, recommending only the best for viewing. Once a suitable property is selected we will assist in the rental or purchase negotiation of the property and provide guidance in the selection of any professional services required.

Area Orientation Tours

These provide an introduction to a new area and are particularly useful before embarking upon a full home search programme or assisting in an employee's decision to relocate. All the needed aspects of orientation are covered including shopping, amenities, customs, culture and much more.

Choosing a school or Preschool

Our specialist education consultant advisor who has many years experience in Sydney’s educational system, provides this service. They advise parents on the suitability of the local state and private schools, helping with applications and enrolment of their children in a school that is right for them in an appropriate location.

Introduction to Expatriate Groups and Networks

Settle in Sydney has identified the need to support those moving with the transferee.  We provide an ‘introduction to people service’ this includes Expat groups, children’s playgroups, a gym overview, an after work touch footie
club, and other cultural groups in the area. 

Serviced Offices

There are many situations where an employer may wish to set up an office overseas. Settle In Sydney can help by identifying the most suitable offices, considering the nature of the client's business, the best location and of course the available budget.

Furniture Rental

Renting furniture is often a better solution than placing an employee into short-term accommodation. The assignee can start living in their new home and have the cost benefit of not needing short-term accommodation. To eliminate some of your short-term accommodation requirements the rental of furniture can be arranged for any period of time.Follow up Settle in Service.The transferee will be contacted at a later stage to check if everything is going smoothly.  If required we will give further advice and assistance where needed.  We will request feedback to ensure our service is consistently first class.
